In this chapter we bring together all the previous chapters on electricity and magnetism. When Maxwell tried to do that he found that there was one term missing from Ampere’s law if we demand that electric charge be a conserved quantity. By adding the appropriate term, Maxwell competed the classical theory of electricity and magnetism. We call these equations Maxwell’s equations. We will only present very brief treatment of these equations here. A more abmitious student should consult a more advanced book on E & M.
